| Description | At the moment (4638, Ubuntu PPA) a point is fixed in space using the 'Lock Constraint' option which creates two distance constraints. I suggest that it would be consistent to allow the horizontal and vertical axes to be used with the 'fix point to object' constraint, this will minimise the number of dimensions displayed in a sketch. I suppose this behaviour would equate to making the axes behave as construction lines. | ||||

currently (0.13 git) a point can be constrainted using the "fix point to object" to the X axis, the Y axis (or to both when the point must be constrained to Origin) It would be handy to also have an Origin point that could work with coincident constraint to a sketch point or with "fix point to object". |

yes the originally reported issue is already fixed in the current development version. With respect to the origin point suggestion its implementation will be tracked here https://sourceforge.net/apps/mantisbt/free-cad/view.php?id=600 so I am closing this one |
