Summary | 0004111: inconsistent cut direction in 3Dsurface
Description | https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=39016
Steps To Reproduce | Make a 3d model select a non planar face create a 3Dsurface path note alternating direction of cutting paths. eg increasing X then decreasing X. Choice of cutting convention is a basic machining requirement, not an optional extra. There really needs to be some way to control this. The current alternating paths will be undesirable for most applications, be it wood, metal or whatever.

This appears to be resolved by an earlier PR. I can't find the specific one but have tested with current build and 'line' pattern produces unidirectional gcode. Thanks Russ! |
